Bennett I Deutsch writes:
Greetings from Yerushalayim! I arrived on Tuesday and there were lots of empty seats on the plane waiting for you all to fill them up. After meeting Mort Zuckerman (Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations in the U.S., publisher of U.S. News and World Report, and Chairman of Boston Properties, a major real estate company) by chance at the Kotel on Tuesday (he was in for the Maccabiah Games), whom nobody else recognized, I visited many of the places you have been reading about these past 9 months - - Psagot, Ofrah, Neve Tzuf (delivering the Rinat bullet-proof van - - Thanks, Barry, for the posting the Arutz-7 news item), Otniel (delivering the downpayment for the Rinat communications system) and Chevron. I also met (for a moment) Natan Sharansky (you know who he is) and Limor Livnat (Minister of Education - - you should know who she is), who gave speeches to a joint mission of the One Israel Fund and Bnai Brith of Canada (now that's a new combination) (I'm not with the mission but just showed up for the speeches and a dinner) and spent a little time with Pinchas Wallerstein (chairman of the Binyamin Regional Council). Everybody wants to know where you all are. Please get yourselves over here! The fallafel is still good, the pizza is still bad, the Midrochov is still noisy and the Kotel is still standing. While you might not have the good fortune I had to meet some of these special people, there are loads of other good Jews just waiting to see you. For Shabbat it's on to Efrat for the Teaneck weekend mission (Barry, you may have missed that item at the end of the same Arutz-7 report). L'hitraot b'Teaneck!
