Urge other Senators to support Senator Inhofe's
initiative.
A few days ago a JAT.Action item urged our members to
thank Senator Inhofe for the speech in which he voiced very
strong support for Israel and called on the President to
suspend formal relations with Yasir Arafat and the PA until
they demonstrate a true and serious effort to combat
terrorism and cease their vicious incitement to hatred and
violence in their official media outlets.
ACTION

One of our members made the good suggestion that JAT members
should write to their own senators (and perhaps also to the
Senate leadership) urging them to join Senator Inhofe.

On March 4, 2002, James M. Inhofe (R-Okla) delivered a
speech on the Senate floor articulating seven reasons why
the land of Israel rightfully belongs to the people of
Israel. No one -- not Arafat and not Saudi Arabia -- should
be permitted to first threaten Israel's security and then to
offer to negotiate for peace in exchange for the soil upon
which Israel stands.
I urge you to join Senator Inhofe in his initiative. In
order to be victorious in the War on Terror, the US must
stand by Israel, its only true ally in the Middle East. This
tiny country, which has demonstrated its solidarity with the
US more consistently than has Britain in the United Nations,
has been subjected to Arab terrorism for over 50 years.
