Ezrah
On shabbos Ki Tisa, Rabbi Kanarfogel inaugurated our involvement in EZRAH to help those in our community who are out of work. Already, many members have made significant contributions to EZRAH and we are aiming for 100% participation of the membership in this important effort.
PLEASE SEND DONATIONS TO CONG BETH AARON -EZRA SO THAT WE CAN HELP THE PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY WHO DESPERATELY NEED IT.

As a refresher, the following is a full description of EZRAH.
We are living through very difficult times.
Economically, things have become very difficult for many people. In our own community, many people are out of work (some for several years), and as a result many families are without any health coverage. There are individuals who are unaware or incapable of how to get medical coverage. We all know people in this situation. What can we do? What should we do?
EZRA was started by members of Congregation Bnai Yeshurun in order to help those people who are out of work. Many of these individuals are having an extremely difficult time finding jobs given the worsening economy Traditional job hunting methods and conventional channels such as help wanted ads, headhunters, job search lists, etc. just don't seem to be working. There is now a dedicated effort to expand this important initiative to all shuls in Teaneck.
We are therefore reaching out to people within our community, who we believe are in a position to either offer jobs or open up doors that would otherwise be closed to many job seekers. After all, there is no greater manifestation of chesed than to enable another person to stand on his or her own two feet. We are asking for your "ezra". If you are able to help, please volunteer. Get involved.
Since EZRA was started, a number of people have come forward and have hired fellow members of the community. There are also many people who are working very hard to identify job opportunities in their respective professions.
EZRA also covers health insurance for those people who need it. Even people who are entitled to government sponsored programs often need coverage until they apply and are accepted. Other living expenses are also covered by EZRA. As we all know, these expenses are often very high. For this reason, to help our neighbors in our community through tough times, we need your donations.
It's an unbelievable feeling and zechus to know that you are instrumental in helping someone support his family or provide proper medical treatment for a friend who is ill.
We can all make a difference. Help find jobs if you can. Contribute generously to EZRA so that EZRA can help those who need it.
