(6/22) LONG ISLAND EVENT: Concert (6/29)
Unprecedented LI Benefit Concert Seeks to Replace Israeli Ambulances Destroyed by Middle East Violence

Great Neck Arts Center Invites All Long Islanders to Embrace the Power of Music as a Response to Violence.

Long Islanders are being invited to attend a performance of the world renowned South African Sydenham Shul Men's Choir at Great Neck South High School at 7pm on Sunday, June 29, 2003, where concert proceeds will support state-of-the-art life saving services of Magen David Adom, Israel's official emergency medical, disaster, ambulance and blood bank services.

The event, sponsored by the Great Neck Arts Center, will benefit the Magen David Adom, Israel's equivalent of the Red Cross. Since the current violence that began in Israel in September of 2000, many ambulances have been destroyed and medical supplies have been depleted at a much faster rate than emergency response officials have budgeted.

"We seek to harness the power of beautiful music to make a substantive difference in saving lives throughout Israel," stated Regina Gil, director of the Great Neck Arts Center. "The sight of MDA's white and red ambulances racing through the streets of Israel on their lifesaving missions is a familiar sight. Twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, Magen David Adom's ambulances stand by, ready to respond to calls whenever, war, terrorist attacks, disaster, crisis or medical emergency strikes. Next to the Israeli Defense Forces, MDA is considered the State of Israel's second line of defense. They need our help, and we hope Long Island will respond by joining the Sydenham Shul Men's Choir in song."

Led by legendary South African Cantor Oshy Tugendhaft, the choir's choral

arrangements possess hints of African rhythm that are both traditional and modern. "This concert celebrates the triumph of Jewish destiny, values, cherished ideals and the feelings of the heart and soul that make up the traditions of the Jewish people," said Gil. "This concert will give all Long Islanders an opportunity to support the Israeli people and to contribute to this worthy cause."

All tickets will be priced at $36, and may be purchased with Visa or Mastercard, by calling toll free 866-583-8539. Corporate sponsorships are available by calling toll-free, 866-583-8539.

Additional information is available on the web at www.magendavidadom.org.

COME to the ZOA Mission to Washington on June 17th and 18th.
Sign up to help Israel in Washington, DC!
Do Not Stand Idly By, While Your Brothers' Blood is Spilling

Ever since Prime Minister Barak made his incredibly generous offer to Chairman Arafat at the Camp David in July of 2000, the Israeli people have been confronted with unprecedented attacks of terrorism against their civilian population resulting in more than 750 fatalities and thousands of injuries.

As America is engaged in fighting a War on Terrorism, we should not reward two and a half years of unprecedented terrorism against the Israeli people with Palestinian Statehood. The Road Map does not even require a single day, hour or minute in which the Palestinians are to prove that they have truly renounced terrorism.

If there was ever a time to come to Washington, and make your voices heard, it is NOW.

COME to the ZOA Mission to Washington on June 17th and 18th.

Have Dinner with Ambassador Danny Ayalon, Embassy Spokesman Mark Regev and a famous anti-terrorism expert.

Lobby your Senators and Member of Congress against rewarding Palestinian terrorism with statehood, as well as for important pieces of legislation such as the Koby Mandell Act and the Syria Accountability Act.

Have lunch with members of Congress and Senators.

Meet with Representatives of the Executive Branch.

To register, Call Ariella at (212) 481-1500, or go to www.zoa.org. Special student discount: $99.00, including food & transportation. First 10 students to register will pay: $50.00 for the entire mission!
