To get started, you must first have real audio playback software:

  • Internet Explorer- If you have Internet Explorer from Microsoft , then you already have real audio.( Real Video now comes with every copy of IE 4.0 )
  • Netscape (If you have netscape  try a sound link to see what happens, if nothing happens you will need to get the Real Audio software. download instructions)
  • WebTV also does real audio. Just just click away and it should play!!
  • Others- If you have a different browser click here for your free download instructions from Real Audio. Remember the regular real audio player is FREE.
    • If you use America On Line be especially careful to read the real audio instructions about AOL. It is best to have American On Line for Windows 95 software. That works well with real audio.

Frequently Asked Questions and Other Helpful Hints

  1. Can I link to your sound ( directly ) from my web page?
    • YES! , it is nice however if you tell us about it . Some of our music is copyrighted by the owner so email us before you link.

  2. Can I download files to listen to them later?
    • Yes. Just click the letter "d" next to the class. However it may take an hour or two to download an entire class.

  3. I downloaded the file and in the middle the sound just repeats over and over again.
    • Your download stopped in the middle. The internet is still not perfect. Sometimes connections between computers are lost.

  4. The audio comes out fuzzy?
    • The tape of the audio may have been old. Or you may be losing packets. Try to listen to the internet at a less busy time. Or if you have America On Line , try a different internet provider if you can.
